Mary is a web developer with a passion for creating. In her free time, she loves to keep busy in the garden, kitchen, or at her sewing machine. After spending a few years dreaming about life as a digital nomad and traveling whenever possible, she realized she is most happy settled in a place where roots can grow deep. Southern Indiana is now home and she dreams of one day owning a hobby farm, complete with chickens and a flower garden. In the meantime, she lives with her brother and his family grows a garden in their backyard.
Sewing
Mary started sewing clothes for her dolls as a child. And would sometimes fall asleep daydreaming about doll-sized dress designs. Fast forward thirty years, a short stint working in a fabric store, and many sewing machines later, she still loves to sew clothes and household items. About twenty percent of her wardrobe is handmade or has been refashioned in some way.
Food
A love for baking was developed after a food allergy diagnosis. Not being able to eat most baked goods due to gluten sensitivity and an allergy to several common ingredients, forced Mary to get creative in the kitchen. Most recipes have to be modified, which required a lot of food science research, and many fail recipes. But in the end some really delicious recipes!
